For people with chronic headaches, treating anxiety and headache together may be more effective than focusing on only one side of the problem (Song et al., 2016).
A headache diary can also help. Tracking when headaches occur, what they feel like, stress levels, sleep, food, caffeine, hydration, screen use, and menstrual cycle patterns may reveal triggers that are easy to miss.
